    Winter Workshop for Violin, Viola, Cello


    Dates: January 13 - 14 2023

    Join us for a mid-year burst of ideas and motivation at this mini institute-style workshop!

    LOCATION: St. David’s Episcopal Church, 5050 Milton Street, San Diego

    FEE: $150 for members, $160 non-members

    SAA Enrichment Course, Driving the Body for Violinists and Violists


    Date: Saturday January 14 - 15 2023

    Prerequisites: ECC, Volin Unit 1

    We know that every movement we make translates into our sound, and figuring out where to be still and where to move is the name of the game. This course explores relationships in posture and movement, helping players edit out movements to favor those that have the biggest impact on expressing their point of view with the instrument with greater ease!

    Fee: $285 members, $295 non-members

Spring Graduation Recital

Musicians' Association * 1717 Morena Blvd * San Diego

The SMAC San Diego Branch celebrated the achievements of 17 students from 7 studios at their Spring Graduation Recital on Jun 11, 2022. This included pianists, violinists and several graduates from Burundi in East Africa who are taught remotely by SMAC-SDB member, Susanna Han.

The Online Winter Graduation Recital January and the Duets & Ensemble Virtual Recital in April, were wonderful - good participation and everyone had a great time.
