The annual SMAC-SANC South Bay play-in had a special theme this year, Halloween theme!  The students and audience were treated to a story incorporating all the piece names and performances by students in costume.  Thank you to our new Play-In chair, Katheryn Hewatt for organizing the event, and her husband Andrew-Hewatt, aka, Superman, for emceeing our event.  Special thanks to Barbara Wampner and Marilyn George for organizing the Cello play-in.  We would also like to thank our teacher members for coming in costume and supporting the event by helping with registration and leading pieces.  Participating violin teachers included: Lindsay Bauman, Audrey Gray, Diane Egli, Katheryn Hewatt, Marguerite Jayasimha, Marjorie Lin, Michelle Mastin, Yang Xu and our outgoing chair, whom we thank for many years of service, Lesa Zuehlke.  Participating cello teachers included: Katherine Baird, Marilyn George, Kathleen Johnson, Adrianna Khoo, Micke PeiHsun Lee,  Deborah Tandoc, Barbara Wampner and Yu-ting Wang.
